MILK: OUR HEALTH PARTNER
Milk, the food of the first moments of life, later becomes an essential partner of our balanced diet. Both in our mother’s womb, and during childhood and adolescence, the skeleton builds up and fortifies itself. During adulthood, it is important to continue to maintain its potential. The French Nutrition and Health Programme recommends regular consumption of dairy products: each of us should consume one dairy product at each meal to improve and/or maintain healthiness (e.g. prevention of osteoporosis).
Milk and dairy products represent a food group that is indispensable to a balanced diet. They help us stay healthy. Known for its rich calcium content, milk also delivers very high-quality proteins, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. All of these nutrients play important roles in our body’s functions.
