The cotton plant is a shrub native to India. The growth of the cotton plant is exceptional, as it is one of the rare plant species to yield buds, flowers and fruits at the same time. These fruits are called “bolls”. They open to reveal locks of white filaments and black seeds. Cotton oil is extracted from these seeds.
NOURISHING – SOFTENING
Cotton milk is very rich in fatty acid, notably linoleic acid (Omega-6). This acid makes up ceramides and helps reconstitute epidermal lipids. It helps limit the skin’s water loss, while offering softening and nourishing properties.
REGENERATING – RESTRUCTURING
Cotton milk has regenerating and skin-healing properties due to the presence of Omega-6 and 9. Omega-6 stimulates cellular regeneration and Omega-9 preserves skin elasticity. Rich in palmitic acid, cotton milk protects the cells from oxidation, restores radiance and suppleness and protects against ageing.
